About our pots

Our stone cookware is crafted with one of the highest quality steatite known as soapstone. It has a beautiful bluish gray colour, with small veins that give it character. This colour changes to a darker graphite once cured.

Soapstone has unique characteristics. It is a very strong, stable natural material, resistant to acids, alkalis, high temperatures and it does not stain or smell. The pots are durable and of great beauty and able to retain their heat for longer than any others.

Though quite sturdy, each pot is girdled with a copper band to help it better withstand kitchen use and to further add to its beauty and utility, thick solid copper handles are riveted to the band.
